Bill 52: End-of-Life Choices April 2015
A full-day conference, this important event focused on informing and educating seniors on the new government legislation ruling end-of-life choices . Featuring discussions and information sessions by MPs, physicians and religious leaders on the many complex aspects around decisions on end-of-life care. There was also practical information on palliative care and estate planning.

Rediscovering and Celebrating Our Seniors Contribution to Their Communities
At the conclusion of the Project " Rediscovering and Celebrating Our Seniors Contribution to Their Communities " on May 1st, 2013 at Concordia University's Loyola Multi-Faith Chapel, Seniors Action Quebec held an Award ceremony honoring nine outstanding members of the English-speaking community for their years of volunteer work. The recipients of the awards were: Geraldine Doucet, Daphne Nahmiash, Dr. Clarence Bayne, Ura Greenbaum, Harold Greenspon, Dr. Catherine Gillbert, Belva Thomas, Ved Vohra and Tricia Pitre. The ceremony was emceed by former CTV News Anchor Bill Haugland. The award ceremony and project were made possible by a New Horizons for Seniors grant. In addition, similar award ceremonies were held for outstanding seniors in Quebec City, Outaouais ( Aylmer), and Lower Laurentians (Lachute).
